HIGHER FOREIGN TRAVEL ALLOWANCES FOR DRIVERS EFFECTIVE FROM 30.01.2026
On 29 January 2026, Measure No. 9/2026 introducing specific base rates for subsistence allowances for foreign business trips was published in the Collection of Laws.
The Measure came into force on 30 January 2026. From this date, increased foreign travel allowance rates apply to mobile employees in the road transport sector for the specified countries.
This measure applies EXCLUSIVELY to mobile employees in road transport /drivers, and other travelling crew members/,who perform road transport activities for their employer under an employment contract – this primarily concerns international TRUCK DRIVERS drivers engaged in international transport.
For all other persons, the original foreign travel allowance rates applicable to the respective countries – in force since 2013 – remain unchanged.
